Growing Kids: More than an Author Visit, It's an Experience!

Hello, friends! I’m Heatherann Rose, the author behind The Rose Sisters Garden Series, a dedicated mother, and a passionate advocate for Montessori education and sustainable living. I’m super excited to introduce you to my program, called Growing Kids.

Catchy name, but what is it? Think of it as an interactive author visit. A program that educates with hands-on learning and encourages growing kids to curiously explore what’s growing and living in their garden.

Why Montessori? Why Gardens?

As a Montessori-loving mother of three brilliant daughters, Audrey, Poppy, and Genevieve, I’ve seen firsthand the benefits of Montessori education. It encourages independence, creativity, and instills a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. My journey as an educator led me to merge my love for Montessori with my passion for gardening, which sprouted Growing Kids.

Benefits of the Growing Kids Program:

  1. Montessori-focused: This program blends Montessori principles with hands-on garden experiences. It’s not just about teaching; it’s about cultivating a lifelong love for learning

  2. Nature’s classroom: We bring the classroom outdoors or the garden indoors, depending on the setting. Children are given an opportunity to explore the garden through curious eyes.

  3. Author visit with a twist: When you invite me to your school or business for an author visit, you’re not just getting a reading; you’re getting an immersive journey through the world of plants, insects, and ecosystems.

  4. Interactive learning: These events are designed to be engaging and interactive. Kids don’t just listen; they participate, touch, smell, and even taste the magic of the garden.

  5. Environmental Stewardship: This program instills a sense of responsibility towards our planet. Through the program, children learn the importance of sustainable living and supporting local ecosystems.

  6. Curriculum Enhancement: This program aligns with educational standards and can be seamlessly integrating to your curriculum, enhancing the overall learning experience. I have several topics that include art, science, reading and writing.

  7. Fun for all ages: Whether you’re a preschool, elementary, or a forward thinking business looking to engage young minds, the Growing Kids program caters to a wide age range.

  8. Customized Experiences: No Growing Kids visit is the same. Every visit is tailored to your specific needs, ensuring that each event is unique and an enriching experience for your students or employees.

So, whether you’re a school seeking to inspire young minds or a business eager to engage your community in a fun and educational way, consider inviting me and the Growing Kids program into your world. Together, we can plant the seeds of knowledge, curiosity, and environmental awareness. Let’s raise the next generation of growing minds to be curious thinkers and gardenpreneurs.

Stay tuned for more insights, tips, and stories from the Growing Kids program.

In the meantime, remember, the best lessons are the ones we dig for ourselves, both in the garden and in life. Imma keep growing gardens, minds, and stories. K. Bye.
